Dr. Ioulia Poulaki is an Assistant Professor of Tourism Business Administration in the Department of Business Administration at the University of the Aegean. Similarly, she has served for more than three years the Department of Tourism Management at the University of Patras, where she was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Property Utilization and Management Company. Furthermore, Ioulia Poulaki collaborates with Hellenic Open University as an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Tourism Management undergraduate course. She is a member of the Development Studies and Research (DeRes) Laboratory, while her research interests focus on the fields of Air Transport Management, Tourism Business Administration and Tourism Development. Her research papers have been published in international journals, collective volumes and conference proceedings. In addition, she is a member of international scientific associations of tourism and air transport, while she participates in the editorial and advisory boards of international scientific journals and in scientific committees of international conferences. Professionally, she has ten years of experience in the air transport industry, both in commercial and operational departments, with high specialization in revenue management and distribution systems. She holds a Ph.D. in Air Transport Management and Tourism Development, and a M.A. degree in Tourism Planning, Management and Policy, both from the University of the Aegean, while her undergraduate studies include a B.A. in Foreign Languages, Translation & Interpreting from the Ionian University, and a B.Eng in Civil Engineering from the Piraeus University of Applied Sciences.
