Grigoris Xenikakis is a Manager in Supply Chain Transformation and Analytics at Public Group, a member of the Olympia Group of Companies, based in Athens. He started his career in aviation in 2011, when he joined the Network Planning department of Olympic Air, with a focus in the coordination of the company’s charter operations and the preparation of the scheduling, slot and fleet management activities. Following the acquisition of the latter by Aegean Airlines he has joined the new scheme, where he held numerous positions in the Revenue Management and Network Planning & Alliances departments during his 7-year tenure. Among other things, he led a team of revenue management analysts steering a diverse route portfolio, conceptualized a tactical fleet optimization framework and undertook a study for a new aircraft type evaluation. Previously, he has worked for Lidl Hellas as a Warehouse Operations Manager, Aristotle University as a Research Associate and Steinbeis GmbH & Co. KG für Technologietransfer in Stuttgart as a Project Engineer. Grigoris earned an MBA with High Honours from Athens University of Economics and Business. He also holds a MSc in Airport Planning and Management from Cranfield University in the United Kingdom. He has been awarded the Young Scientist Prize by the Hellenic Aviation Society for his Master thesis, developing an appraisal of investment strategies for uninterruptible airport operations. He also holds a MEng in Mechanical Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with focus on the environment and anti-pollution technologies. When not designing optimization strategies for Public’s logistics operations, Grigoris spends time honing his UAV skills, building upon his EASA remote pilot competency license.
